Weekend

Did some power-washing of the deck on Sat and gardening... Sunday went for a walk, then decided to see how my road running skill would be after all the training... not the same as a treadmill of course...
So I took off on a route that destroyed me last year... a LOT of incline.
So off I went on a really good clip, and when I hit the major up-hill section I didn't lose an once of speed. I could feel the power and lightness that just wasn't there before... a kind of reserve spring in the step. It was a really amazing feeling and it didn't stop. In fact, I picked up the pace for the latter half of the run, including a full-sprint for the last half-mile. It was truly incredible how good it felt and how easy it was for me: especially compared to the past. Vert plyo is a big factor, not just all the hard cardio work. Real dividends for sure.
Love it.
